Description
This aluminum rear shock tower is the upper mounting point for the rear shocks on the Team Associated RC8B4 and RC8B4e 1/8 scale buggies. It bolts to the rear bulkhead and holds the shock upper pivots at the angle and height that set rear damping character, squat under power, and how much the rear end plants on corner exit.
The row of mounting holes gives you tuning positions to move the shocks inboard, outboard, or to a different height so you can add rear traction on slick surfaces or free the car up when grip is high. The rear tower also carries wing mount loading and takes repeated hits from landings and rollovers, and a tower that has been tweaked or cracked lets the shock positions wander, which shows up as inconsistent handling rather than an obvious failure.
Machined from aluminum for stiffness and impact resistance, it installs in the stock locations with your existing hardware as a direct replacement or as a durability upgrade during a rebuild.
