Description
The V2 front shock tower is the updated, more durable front tower design for the Team Associated RC8B4 1/8 scale buggy. It is CNC machined from 7075 aluminum, and it adds a 1mm pocket that captures the front upper suspension insert so the insert stays located under load instead of shifting.
The tower also works with a longer 48mm front upper hinge pin, included in the package, which gives the front upper suspension arms more support across their full width. Together those two changes take flex and slop out of the front end and help the car survive the hard landings and head on impacts that would damage an earlier tower.
As the anchor point for the upper shock mounts, the tower also sets shock angle and front damping feel, so keeping it straight and rigid keeps your front geometry consistent through a long main. It fits the RC8B4 and installs in the factory mounting locations, and an installation supplement is included to guide the swap during a rebuild or upgrade.
