Description
This aluminum front shock tower replaces the stock tower on the Team Associated RC8B4 and RC8B4e 1/8 scale buggies. The shock tower anchors the upper ends of the front shocks and sets the mounting positions that determine shock angle, effective damping rate, and how much the front end resists dive under braking.
Multiple mounting holes let you move the upper shock pivot to tune front grip and steering response for high traction clay or loose, dry dirt. Because the tower sits at the front of the car, it absorbs the impact energy from head on hits and endos, which is exactly where a worn or cracked tower starts to flex and change your front geometry without you noticing.
Machined from aluminum, this piece is stiffer and more impact resistant than a molded composite tower, so it holds the shock positions where you set them. It bolts into the factory locations on the front bulkhead using your existing hardware, installing as a straight replacement or as an upgrade during a rebuild.
