Description
The air filter boot connects the air filter to the carburetor on your nitro 1/8 scale Associated, sealing the intake so the engine only breathes filtered air. A cracked, hardened, or loose boot is one of the fastest ways to ruin an engine, since unfiltered dirt goes straight past the piston and liner, so this is a part worth checking at every rebuild and replacing at the first sign of wear.
Fitment covers the RC8B3.2 and RC8T3.2, along with the RC8B4, RC8T4, RC8B4.1, RC8B4.2, RC8B4.2 EURO, and RC8T4.2.
The boot clamps to the filter and carburetor in the stock configuration, making it a direct replacement that needs no modification. Genuine Team Associated part, molded to the correct diameters so the clamps seat properly and the seal holds under vibration. Racers running dusty outdoor tracks often keep a spare in the pit box, since a torn boot found on the grid can otherwise cost you a run.
