Description
The center top plate caps the center bulkhead and holds the center differential securely in place on your 1/8 scale Associated buggy. It clamps the diff bearings, sets preload across the bulkhead halves, and keeps the drivetrain aligned under power, so a bent or fatigued plate can cause the center diff to bind or run noisy. Swapping in a fresh plate brings the assembly back to factory alignment.
This part fits the RC8B3.2, RC8B4.2, and RC8B4.2 EURO. It mounts with the original screws in the original locations, making it a straight replacement rather than a modification, and it is the correct piece to order when rebuilding the center section after a crash or a diff service.
