Description
This 14 tooth vented clutch bell is a gearing and cooling component for the Team Associated four-shoe clutch system on 1/8 scale nitro vehicles. The clutch bell is the outer drum the clutch shoes grip, and its tooth count sets the primary gear ratio, so moving to 14 tooth changes acceleration and top speed relative to your spur gear.
The vented design allows airflow through the bell to pull heat away from the clutch shoes and bell surface, which helps limit fade and extend the life of both parts during long, hot runs. It fits the RC8B3.1, RC8T3.1, RC8B3.2, RC8T3.2 and RC8T4.
Clutch bells wear on the inner friction surface and on the gear teeth, and a worn or scored bell causes slipping and inconsistent engagement, so replacement restores clean, predictable drive. Installation is a direct fit onto the stock clutch assembly using your existing bearings and shoes, with no modification required. Keeping several tooth counts on hand lets you regear quickly for different track layouts.
