Description
These composite clutch shoes are the hard compound option for the Team Associated four-shoe adjustable clutch fitted to 1/8 scale nitro buggies and truggies. The shoes swing outward under centrifugal force to grip the clutch bell, and their material and mass set how the clutch engages, how much power it holds and how it behaves once heat builds through a long run.
The composite construction offers a different engagement character than aluminum shoes, while the hard specification targets a firmer, later hookup for tracks where you want the engine up on the pipe before the power lands. They fit the RC8B3.1, RC8T3.1, RC8B3.2, RC8T3.2, RC8B4, RC8T4, RC8B4.1, RC8B4.2 and RC8B4.2 EURO.
Shoes are a wear item, and worn contact faces or elongated pivot holes lead to erratic engagement and accelerated clutch bell wear, so fitting a fresh set brings back consistent, predictable drive. Installation is a direct replacement into the stock four-shoe clutch using your existing springs, flywheel and nut, with no modification needed.
