Description
These aluminum clutch shoes are the hard compound option for the Team Associated four-shoe adjustable clutch used on 1/8 scale nitro buggies and truggies. The shoes are the components that pivot outward under centrifugal force and grip the inside of the clutch bell, so their mass and material determine engagement feel, holding power and heat tolerance.
Aluminum construction keeps rotating weight low and sheds heat well, and the hard specification is aimed at delaying engagement slightly and resisting fade during long, high-load runs. Fitment covers the RC8B3.1, RC8T3.1, RC8B3.2, RC8T3.2, RC8B4, RC8T4, RC8B4.1, RC8B4.2, RC8B4.2 EURO and RC8T4.2.
Clutch shoes wear at their contact faces and pivot holes over time, and worn shoes cause inconsistent engagement, slipping and premature clutch bell wear, so replacing them as a set restores the clutch to spec. They install as a direct replacement into the stock four-shoe clutch alongside your chosen spring rate, with no modification required. Pair with different clutch springs to fine-tune engagement for each track.
