These 1.10 mm clutch springs are the heaviest end of the tuning range for the Team Associated four-shoe adjustable clutch used on 1/8 scale nitro racing platforms. The thick wire holds the shoes against the flywheel until high RPM, delaying engagement so the engine is well into its powerband before the drivetrain sees power.
That produces the hardest hit available from this clutch system, which suits high-traction tracks, big jump faces, and drivers who want maximum acceleration off the corner without clutch slip under heavy load. They fit the RC8B3.1, RC8T3.1, RC8B3.2, RC8T3.2, RC8B4, RC8T4, RC8B4.1, RC8B4.2 and RC8B4.2 EURO.
Like all clutch springs, these are a wear item that gradually loses tension through repeated heat cycles, so replacing worn springs restores the exact engagement point you set the car up around. They install as a direct swap into the stock four-shoe clutch with no modification or extra hardware. Pair them with lighter rates in your spares box to cover any track condition.
