Description
These 1.05 mm clutch springs are a stiffer tuning option for the Team Associated four-shoe adjustable clutch fitted to 1/8 scale nitro buggies and truggies. Heavier wire holds the clutch shoes in longer, raising the RPM at which they engage the bell so the engine climbs further into its powerband before drive reaches the transmission.
That delayed, harder hit works well on high-bite tracks with big jump faces and long straights where you want maximum punch, and it keeps the clutch from slipping under load. They fit the RC8B3.1, RC8T3.1, RC8B3.2, RC8T3.2, RC8B4, RC8T4, RC8B4.1, RC8B4.2 and RC8B4.2 EURO.
Springs are consumables that soften with heat cycling, so a fresh set brings back the engagement point you tuned for instead of a slowly drifting one. Installation is a direct replacement into the stock four-shoe clutch, using your existing shoes, flywheel and nut, with no machining or modification. Keeping several spring rates in the pit box lets you re-tune engagement between rounds as grip levels change.
