Description
These shock boots protect the exposed shock shafts on Team Associated's 1/8 scale truggies. The accordion-style boot fits over the shaft between the shock body and the lower rod end, shielding the polished shaft surface from the mud, sand, grass, and grit that get thrown up on rough outdoor tracks.
That matters because anything abrasive riding on the shaft gets dragged straight through the shaft seals, which scores the shaft, tears the seals, and leads to leaking shocks and inconsistent damping partway through a main. Boots are cheap protection for far more expensive shaft and seal parts, and they are especially worth running on wet, loamy, or sandy tracks.
Fits the RC8T3, RC8T3e, RC8T3.1, RC8T3.1e, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2e, RC8T4, and RC8T4e. They install as direct replacements for the boots supplied with those vehicles and work with your existing shocks, shafts, and rod ends. Rubber boots eventually split and tear, so replace them once they open up and stop sealing against the body.
