Description
These shock caps seal the top of the big-bore shock bodies on Team Associated's 1/8 scale race platforms. The cap threads onto the body, traps the bladder or cap insert against the oil, and sets the internal pressure that determines how the shock rebounds.
Caps take a beating in a rollover or a hard landing, and cross-threaded, cracked, or rounded caps are a common cause of a shock that will not hold pressure or seal cleanly after a rebuild. Fresh caps let you torque everything down properly and get repeatable, consistent damping from all four corners.
This set fits the RC8B3, RC8B3e, RC8T3, RC8T3e, RC8B3.1, RC8B3.1e, RC8B3.2, RC8B3.2e, RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4, and RC8T4e. They are a direct replacement for the caps that came on those vehicles and work with your existing bladders, inserts, and shock bodies, so no modification is needed. Keep a spare set on the bench so a stripped cap never costs you a heat race.
