Description
This pair of 16 x 36.5mm shock bodies replaces the longer rear housings in the Team Associated big-bore shock system. The body is the sealed cylinder that holds the oil, guides the piston through its stroke, and carries the threads for the shock cap and spring collar. It is hard anodized, a surface treatment that hardens the aluminum so the bore resists the scoring and wear that eventually lets oil past the piston seal.
A scratched or dented body produces inconsistent damping, weeping seals, and a shock that no longer matches its partner on the opposite corner, so swapping bodies during a rebuild is the quickest way to return the car to a known baseline.
Fits the RC8B4.1, RC8B4.1e, and RC8B4.2 EURO. These are direct replacements for the factory bodies on those chassis and reuse your existing caps, pistons, shafts, and seals, so the rebuild needs no extra parts or modification. Pair them with fresh seals and oil for a complete rear shock refresh.
