Description
These 30.5 mm shock bodies are the housings that hold oil, piston and shaft together in the big-bore shocks on Associated 1/8 scale off-road cars. The inner bore surface directly controls sealing: once a body is scored by grit or dented in a crash, the o-rings can no longer seal properly and the shock starts leaking, fading and losing the consistent damping that keeps the car predictable over rough tracks.
Replacing the bodies restores full damping performance and stops the mid-run fade that ruins a long main. Fits Team Associated RC8B3, RC8B3e, RC8T3, RC8T3e, RC8B3.1, RC8B3.1e, RC8T3.1, RC8T3.1e, RC8B3.2, RC8B3.2e, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2e, RC8B4, RC8B4e, RC8T4 and RC8T4e.
They are direct replacements for the standard bodies and accept the existing caps, collars, pistons and seals, so a rebuild uses parts you already have. Add them to your next full shock service, and keep a spare set ready for the race weekend when a hard landing takes a body out.
