Description
Steering posts anchor the steering rack assembly to the chassis on Associated 1/8 scale off-road cars, holding the bellcranks in position so the steering system stays square and free through its full sweep. Because the posts absorb impact loads any time the front end takes a hit, a bent or damaged post introduces binding and inconsistent steering that no amount of servo trim will fix. Fresh posts restore smooth bellcrank rotation and precise steering response.

These are direct replacement parts that install during a normal steering rack rebuild with standard hex tools, no modification needed. Whenever you have the steering assembly apart for bearing service, it is worth checking the posts for wear and swapping in a new set.
