Steel pillow balls are the pivot hardware that links the suspension arms and steering blocks on Associated 1/8 scale off-road cars, letting the arms rotate smoothly through their full travel while carrying impact loads from jumps and landings. Steel construction stands up to the constant working load and grit that wear pivot points down over a season, and worn pillow balls are a common cause of vague steering and unwanted slop in the front end. Replacing them restores tight, consistent suspension movement.
