Description
These 131mm universal driveshafts are the direct replacement axles for the RC8T3 and RC8T4 series 1:8 scale off-road trucks. Universal joints keep power delivery smooth through the full suspension stroke and at steering angle, so the truck drives cleanly out of ruts and off jump faces without the binding a plain dogbone can produce at extreme angles.
They fit the RC8T3, RC8T3e, RC8T3.1, RC8T3.1e, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2e, RC8T4, RC8T4e, RC8T4.2, and RC8T4.2e, installing between the outdrives and wheel hubs in the front or rear drivetrain assemblies. Driveshafts take repeated impact loads in 1:8 truck racing, so keeping a fresh set in the pit box is standard practice for anyone racing regularly.
Team Associated notes that the #81335 CVA Set combined with #91566 Bearings can be used together as a replacement for the #81022 universals on the RC8T3. Fit these as an exact replacement for worn or damaged original shafts to restore proper drivetrain geometry and consistent power transfer.
