Description
The Team Associated ASC81014 46T differential ring gear is the standard ring gear fitted to the T3.1 and T3.1e, both of which ship with V3 differentials. Beyond straight replacement, this gear is the part you need to convert an earlier T3 or T3e truck to the newer V3 differential, which brings greater fluid capacity and more consistent diff action as the fluid heats up over a run.
Ring gears take the full drive load through the differential and the teeth wear or chip if the diff is run low on fluid or the gear mesh is set too tight, so inspect yours whenever you rebuild. Note that a full front and rear conversion needs two of these.
This ring gear fits the RC8T3.1, RC8T3.1e, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2e, RC8T4, and RC8T4e truggies. This is a genuine Team Associated part from Associated Electrics and meshes correctly with the matching factory diff pinion without shimming.
