Description
The RC8T4e w/Gearbox Upgrade Kit pairs Team Associated's 1:8 scale electric off-road truck with the strengthened RC8T4 series gearbox package. Redesigned 40/9 ring and pinion gears use larger teeth for greater engagement and skip resistance, while front and rear gearbox cases are molded in a high stiffness polymer for tighter screw and bearing fit. Spencer Rivkin took the 2024 ROAR Electric Truck National Title running these gearboxes.
The kit runs dual saddle pack battery configurations, front-end geometry with 8-degree steering blocks, front gearbox at a 3.5-degree inclined pinion angle and rear at 0 degrees, and a center-mounted rear chassis brace. Also included are the V2 front shock tower, front and rear center dogbone driveshafts, updated upper arms with bushing inserts, an adjustable rear wing with angle shims, three chassis flex options, +2mm and +4mm shock rod ends, 35.5mm front and 44.5mm rear shock shafts, roll center tuning options, V3 differentials with HTC gear sets, and 16mm shocks.
