Description
The RC8T4 w/Gearbox Upgrade is Team Associated's 1:8 scale nitro off-road truck kit, updated with the new RC8T4 series gearbox package developed to bulletproof the drivetrain. The upgraded 40/9 ring and pinion use redesigned, larger teeth for greater engagement and far better resistance to skipping under power. Front and rear gearbox cases are molded from a high stiffness polymer that tightens screw and bearing fit, keeping gear mesh consistent as the truck takes hard landings.
The rest of the kit carries the RC8T4 race package: front-end geometry with 8-degree steering blocks, RC8B4-derived gearbox layouts for improved drivetrain efficiency, the V2 front shock tower, updated upper front suspension arms, adjustable shock rod ends, an adjustable rear wing mount with shims, a centrally mounted rear chassis brace, symmetrical rear hubs, and an ergonomic fuel tank with volume inserts.
Assembly and painting are required, and engine, radio gear, servos, wheels, and tires are supplied separately. Buy this version if you want the strengthened gearboxes included from the start.
