Description
Caster blocks carry the front hubs and set the caster angle the front end runs, which shapes how the car turns in and how much steering it holds on power. This Team Associated set is molded to 25 degrees and is the direct replacement for the front caster blocks on the SC10, GT2, and RC10B4.2.
Because these are the parts the car was assembled with, they install in the stock location and reuse your existing hinge pins, kingpins, and steering blocks with no modification. Twenty-five degrees is one of the caster options offered for this platform, and moving to a different block is a straightforward way to change front-end feel without touching springs, oils, or camber links.
The front end takes the worst of every crash, so caster blocks are a sensible spare to carry. Replace a cracked or distorted block promptly: damage on one side alone leaves the car with mismatched geometry left to right, and that kind of fault is difficult to diagnose from the drivers stand.
