Description
This Team Associated rear shock tower is the replacement mounting plate for the rear shocks on the RC10GB Nitro Buggy. Bolted to the rear of the transmission, it carries the upper shock mounts and provides the row of mounting holes used to change shock angle and position.
Moving the upper shock mount between the holes in the tower alters the leverage the suspension applies to the shock, letting the car be tuned for grip and bump response to suit the track surface. The tower also braces the rear end of the car and helps locate the rear of the chassis under load.
It is a direct replacement for the tower fitted as standard on the RC10GB Nitro Buggy, a legacy RC10-family reissue platform. Shock towers take the load in a rollover or a hard landing, so a cracked or bent tower should be replaced rather than run on, as a flexing tower no longer holds the suspension geometry it is meant to control.
