Description
This Team Associated brake disc is the replacement rotor for the GT NDS braking system. Clamped by the brake pads when the servo applies pressure, the disc converts the vehicle's momentum into heat and provides the stopping power a nitro-powered chassis needs, since it cannot rely on motor braking the way an electric car can.
It is a direct replacement for the disc fitted as standard on the NDS and the RC10GT. Because these are legacy RC10-family platforms, a fresh disc is a routine service item rather than an upgrade: brake discs wear thin, glaze and can distort with heat, and a worn or warped disc gives inconsistent braking and shortens pad life.
Fit the new disc using the original hardware, check that it runs true, and bed the brakes in gently before racing. It is worth inspecting the disc alongside the brake pads whenever the transmission is opened for service, as replacing both together restores consistent braking feel.
