Description
The DC10 Top Shaft is a machined aluminum driveshaft that connects the front and rear gearboxes on the Team Associated DC10 Drift Car, transferring rotational power between the front and rear differentials to keep both axles driven together. Its aluminum construction offers a stiffer, more consistent power path than a stock plastic shaft, resisting flex and twist under the sustained torque loads that come from constant wheelspin and rapid throttle transitions during drift runs. That added rigidity helps keep power delivery even between the front and rear of the car, which matters on a drift chassis where balanced traction front to rear directly affects how predictably the car steps out and holds an angle. The shaft is machined to the original length and coupling dimensions, so it installs using the existing universal joints and driveshaft cups without any modification to the gearbox housings. This is an upgrade over the stock plastic shaft rather than a like-for-like replacement, aimed at drivers who want a more durable, precise drivetrain connection for regular hard use or competition. It is sold individually and fits both gearbox locations on the DC10 platform.
