Description
The DC10 Gearbox houses the spur gear, pinion mesh, and internal drivetrain components that transmit power from the motor to the rear wheels on the Team Associated DC10 Drift Car and DC10 Classic. Molded as a matched upper and lower case, it holds gear alignment and mesh spacing precisely so power delivery stays smooth and consistent through the throttle-heavy, constant-slide driving style drift demands. Accurate case geometry also protects the internal gears and bearings from the vibration and load spikes that come from repeated wheelspin and quick throttle transitions. Replacing a cracked, stripped, or worn gearbox case restores proper gear mesh and prevents the drivetrain noise, binding, or premature gear wear that follows once the housing loses its shape. This is a direct factory replacement built to the original fit and mounting points, so it drops into the existing chassis without any modification to the motor mount, rear pod, or driveshaft alignment. Keeping the gearbox in good condition protects the more expensive gears and bearings inside it, making this an economical part to replace after a hard crash or heavy competition use.
