Description
The Team Associated ASC7123 slipper hardware set contains the parts that make up the slipper clutch assembly on the ProLite 4x4, ProSC 4x4 and ProRally. Included is one slipper spring retainer, one slipper diff outdrive, one M4 flanged locknut, one slipper shaft washer, one slipper spring and one M3x0.5x3 mm set screw.
The slipper clutch lets the drivetrain slip under sudden load instead of shock-loading the gears, so it protects the transmission on hard launches and hard landings while also acting as a traction tuning device. The spring and locknut set the slip point, and the retainer, washer and set screw keep that adjustment where you put it.
Springs fatigue and locknuts lose their grip over time, and a slipper that will not hold a setting makes the car feel inconsistent on power. This is the factory hardware set, so every piece drops into the stock assembly with no modification needed.
