Description
The Team Associated ASC71229 front shock tower is the upper mounting plate that anchors the front shocks to the front end of the RC10SC7 Team short course truck. It carries the upper shock positions along with the camber link mounting holes, which together set the front suspension geometry and control how the truck responds to steering input and absorbs landings.
The multiple shock and camber link locations in the tower are primary tuning adjustments. Moving the shocks inboard or outboard changes how progressive the front suspension feels, while camber link position changes camber gain through travel and the amount of steering the truck has entering and exiting corners.
This tower is a direct replacement for the front tower supplied in the RC10SC7 Team kit and installs with the original hardware in the original locations. Front shock towers absorb the impact from nose landings and head on contact, so cracked plates and broken mounting ears are common damage, and a spare in the pit box turns a race ending break into a five minute repair. Shocks, links, and hardware are not included.
