Description
The Team Associated ASC71227 chassis side rails mount along the outside edges of the chassis on the RC10SC7 Team short course truck. They tie the chassis to the arm mounts and body mount locations, adding torsional stiffness to the platform while shielding the battery, electronics, and chassis edges from track debris and contact with other trucks.
Side rails have a real effect on chassis stiffness and therefore on how the truck reacts to bumps and how much the chassis loads the suspension through corners. They are also a sacrificial part, absorbing the side impacts and rail slides that would otherwise reach the chassis plate itself.
These rails are direct replacements for the ones supplied in the RC10SC7 Team kit and bolt on using the original screws and mounting locations, with no trimming or drilling needed. Replacing bent or cracked rails restores the chassis stiffness the truck was designed around and keeps the body sitting square, which matters as much for handling as it does for appearance. Screws, body mounts, and the chassis plate are not included.
