Description
The Team Associated ASC71178 Front Shock Tower is the replacement front tower for the RC10SC6.4 short course truck. The tower carries the upper mounting points for both front shocks and locates the front camber links, so it determines shock angle, the leverage the suspension applies to the shocks, and the camber curve the front wheels follow as the suspension moves through its travel.
Multiple upper shock positions and camber link holes let you adjust roll center and shock angle to suit the track, giving you a way to change front grip and steering feel without changing springs or oil.
This tower fits the RC10SC6.4 and mounts in the standard front tower location using the existing hardware, so it is a direct replacement for the tower supplied in the kit. The front shock tower takes the brunt of a nose-first impact into a pipe or a berm, which makes it one of the parts most worth keeping a spare of in the pit box.
