Description
The Team Associated ASC71157 Front Shock Tower is the gull wing carbon fiber tower for the RC10T6.4 stadium truck. The shock tower carries the upper mounting points for both front shocks and locates the front camber links, so it sets the shock angle, the amount of leverage the suspension applies to the shocks, and the camber curve the front wheels follow through their travel.
It is made from carbon fiber, chosen for its stiffness and low weight, which keeps suspension geometry consistent under hard cornering loads and heavy landings instead of allowing the tower to flex. The gull wing shape raises the outer shock mounting positions relative to the center of the tower.
Multiple upper shock and camber link holes let you change shock angle and roll center as track conditions change. This tower fits the RC10T6.4 and installs in the standard front tower location as a direct replacement for the tower supplied in the kit. Shock towers absorb the worst of a hard nose-in crash, so a spare is worth having.
