Description
The Team Associated ASC4792 side springs are replacement suspension springs for the RC10F6 and RC12R6 pan car chassis. On these low-profile platforms the side spring controls how the chassis rolls and loads the outside tires through a corner, so the rate you run has a direct effect on steering balance and how much bite the car generates coming off the apex. This set is rated at 4.7 lb/in.
Springs are a wear item on a pan car. Repeated compression, tweak from crash damage and general handling gradually change the rate, and a tired spring will make the car feel inconsistent from run to run even when nothing else has changed. Swapping in a fresh set restores predictable, repeatable chassis response.
These are a direct-fit factory replacement, so they drop into the stock side spring location with no modification or extra hardware. Keeping a spare set in the pit box also lets you tune rate at the track and adapt to changing traction conditions.
