Description
The Team Associated ASC4779 Shock Rod End is a damper service part for the RC12R6 1/12-scale pan car. The rod end connects the shock shaft to its mounting point and pivots as the suspension works, so it has to move freely while staying tight enough that no lost motion creeps into the damper travel.
This package includes one shock rod end and one shock shaft extension. The extension sets the effective length of the shaft, which in turn affects droop and the ride height the damper works around, so having a fresh one on hand matters whenever the shock is being rebuilt or its length reset to a known baseline.
A rod end that has gone loose or become sloppy on its ball introduces a small dead zone in the damper, and the shock stops reacting to the first part of the suspension movement. Since that is exactly the range that governs how the car feels over small bumps, worn rod ends are worth replacing before chasing oil or spring changes. These parts are direct replacements for the components supplied in the RC12R6 kit and need no modification to fit.
