Description
The Team Associated ASC4760 Front Axles are replacement stub axles for the RC12R6 1/12-scale pan car. Each axle carries a front wheel through its bearings and transfers every steering and cornering load from the tire back into the steering block, making it one of the most heavily stressed small parts on the front of the car.
Because the front wheels on a pan car are unpowered and lightly loaded on corner exit but heavily loaded on entry, front axles see a constant cycle of side load. Over time a bent axle or one with a worn bearing seat lets the wheel run out of true, which drags on the bearings, scrubs speed on the straight, and puts uneven wear across the front tires. Replacing the axles restores true, free rolling wheels and often recovers noticeable straight line speed.
These are direct replacements for the front axles supplied in the RC12R6 kit and install with the existing bearings and hardware, requiring no modification. Fitting a fresh pair during a front end rebuild is quick, cheap insurance for a car you race regularly.
