Description
The Team Associated ASC4740 Suspension Arm Standoff is a front end component for the RC12R6 1/12-scale pan car. The standoff spaces the suspension arm mounting away from the chassis and holds it at the correct height, establishing the arm pivot position that the rest of the front geometry is built around.
Because the standoff sets where the arm pivots, its condition feeds straight into camber gain, roll centre, and how the front end reacts as it compresses. A standoff that has been bent in a nose-on impact, or has worn at the bore, allows the arm to shift position and introduces slop that no amount of shim or spring adjustment will tune out. Replacing it restores the front geometry to the values on your setup sheet.
This is a direct replacement for the standoff supplied in the RC12R6 kit. It uses the existing mounting hardware and requires no modification to fit, dropping in during a routine front end teardown. The front end takes most of the impacts on a pan car, so keeping spares on the shelf is worthwhile.
