Description
The Team Associated ASC4737 Belleville Washers are conical spring washers used on the RC10F6 and RC12R6 pan car chassis. Unlike a flat washer, a Belleville washer is dished, so it acts as a small spring under the fastener. That preload keeps constant pressure on the joint it sits in, which is why these washers are used where a setting has to hold rather than simply be clamped down.
On a pan car they are most often found in slipper and drivetrain adjustments and at pivot points that need consistent tension, letting you set a repeatable amount of pressure and have it stay put through a run instead of backing off with vibration. Because they are small and easy to lose during a rebuild, most racers order them well before they actually need them.
These are direct replacements for the Belleville washers supplied with the RC10F6 and RC12R6 kits, so they install with the existing hardware and require no modification. Replace any washer that has been flattened, since a collapsed Belleville no longer holds preload.
