Description
The Team Associated ASC4722 Motor Mount Brace is a rear pod component for the RC12R6 1/12-scale pan car. It ties the motor mount into the rest of the pod assembly, resisting the twisting load the motor puts into the mount under hard acceleration and braking so the motor stays exactly where it was set.
Consistent gear mesh depends on the motor holding its position relative to the spur gear. If the mount is allowed to move even slightly, mesh changes through the run, which costs efficiency, wears the spur gear, and can put enough heat into the motor to hurt punch late in a race. The brace keeps that relationship fixed so the gearing you set in the pits is the gearing you race.
This is a direct replacement for the motor mount brace supplied in the RC12R6 kit. It uses the existing mounting points and hardware, requires no modification, and installs during a normal rear-end teardown. Worth keeping on hand as a spare, since the pod area takes the brunt of most rear-end impacts.
