Description
The Team Associated ASC4718 Upper Pod Plate is a replacement component for the rear pod assembly on the RC12R6 1/12-scale pan car. It caps the pod above the axle and ties the pod sides and bearing blocks together, so the rear axle stays square and the whole assembly holds its shape under cornering and braking loads.
Rear pod geometry is one of the most sensitive areas on a 1/12-scale car. A plate that has been bent in a crash, or elongated at the screw holes after many rebuilds, lets the pod move in ways your setup sheet never accounts for. That usually shows up as rear grip that feels different turning left than it does turning right, and no amount of spring or tire tuning will fix it.
Designed as a direct replacement for the upper pod plate included in the RC12R6 kit, it installs with the existing screws and needs no modification. Fit a fresh one during a full rear-end rebuild to bring axle alignment and pod geometry back to kit specification before you chase a setup change.
