Description
The Team Associated ASC4717 Lower Pod Plate is the aluminum base of the rear pod assembly on the RC12R6 1/12-scale pan car. It carries the rear axle bearings, the motor mount, and the pod sides, tying the entire rear end together into one rigid unit that pivots off the chassis on the car's springs and rear suspension components.
Because the lower pod plate sets the position of the rear axle relative to the chassis, its condition directly affects rear grip, axle alignment, and how cleanly the pod moves. A tweaked or gouged plate binds pod movement and makes the car respond differently from one direction to the other, which is one of the hardest problems to diagnose from the driver's stand.
This is a direct replacement for the lower pod plate supplied in the RC12R6 kit, using the same aluminum construction and identical mounting pattern, so your existing bearings, motor mount, and screws transfer straight across. Keep one on the shelf as a rebuild part after a heavy crash or at the end of a long racing season.
