Description
The Team Associated ASC4643 side springs are 5.00 lb/in rate springs for the side spring suspension used on Associated 1:12 scale pan cars. Side springs govern chassis roll on this layout, controlling how fast weight transfers onto the outside tires and how much the chassis twists through a corner. Adjusting side spring rate is the primary tool for setting overall balance and mid corner grip on a modern pan car.
At 5.00 lb/in this rate sits in the middle of the range, which makes it a common baseline choice and a useful reference point when you are working through a setup on an unfamiliar track.
Fitment covers the RC12R5.2 and RC10R5.1 chassis. They install as direct replacements for the side springs supplied on those cars, dropping into the standard spring locations with no modification. Springs take a set with use and lose rate over time, so fitting fresh ones keeps the car responding the way your setup sheet expects. Carry several rates to match changing track conditions.
