This is a genuine Team Associated pinion gear, cut with 13 teeth in Mod 0.6 pitch for a 2.25mm motor shaft, sized for the brushless motor setup used on the MT12 and MT12+ Lux 1:12-scale 4WD monster truck platforms. Manufactured to precise tooth geometry, it meshes cleanly with the spur gear to transfer power from the motor to the drivetrain with minimal noise and wear compared to a mismatched or worn pinion. Choosing the correct tooth count and shaft bore is important for gearing a monster truck's top speed and acceleration to the motor and battery combination being run, and for keeping the motor from overheating under load. As a direct replacement, this pinion lets owners swap out a stripped, worn, or incorrectly sized gear to restore proper drivetrain mesh and protect the spur gear from premature wear. This listing includes one 13-tooth Mod 0.6 pinion gear only; the motor and spur gear are sold separately.
