Description
This step gear shaft assembly is a direct-fit replacement for the internal transmission components on Team Associated's CR12 scale crawler platform. The step gear shaft transfers power between gear stages inside the transmission case, and this part includes the shaft along with the bushings that support it, fitting CR12, Enduro12 Trail Truck, MT12 Monster Truck, MT12 Monster Van, and RC10 4X4 Pickup Truck vehicles that share the same internal drivetrain layout. The shaft is machined from hardened steel to withstand the torque loads generated when climbing obstacles at low gear ratios, while the bushings are sized to keep the shaft properly aligned within the transmission case for smooth, low-friction rotation. A worn shaft or bushing can introduce gear lash and premature wear on the surrounding gears, reducing drivetrain efficiency and reliability during technical crawling. This part is intended as a direct replacement for a worn or damaged factory step gear shaft, restoring the transmission to its original specification rather than altering the gear ratio. The shaft and its mounting bushings are included as a complete set.
