Description
The CR12 Main Drive Gear Shaft Pins are small replacement retention pins used in the transmission of the Team Associated CR12 rock crawler, and they also fit the MT12 Monster Truck and MT12 Monster Van. These pins secure the main drive gear shaft in place within the gearbox, keeping it properly located so power transfers cleanly from the motor to the drivetrain without the shaft shifting or walking out of position. Made from hardened steel, the pins are sized for a precise press fit and are built to withstand the repeated shock loading a crawler transmission sees when powering over rocks and uneven terrain. Because these are small, easily lost parts during a gearbox teardown, having spares on hand makes routine maintenance and drivetrain rebuilds much easier. This is a direct factory replacement for lost, bent, or worn pins, restoring correct shaft retention and preventing gear misalignment that can lead to premature wear or stripped teeth. Keeping the transmission properly pinned together helps maintain smooth, reliable power delivery and protects the more expensive gears and shafts around it from unnecessary wear.
