Description
This is the differential ring gear for the Team Associated CR12 rock crawler, also fitting the MT12 Monster Truck and Monster Van platforms. The ring gear mounts inside the differential housing and meshes with the pinion gear to transfer power from the driveshaft to the axle shafts, playing a central role in how torque reaches the wheels. Molded to precise tooth specifications from a durable material, the ring gear is engineered to handle the torque loads of technical rock crawling and resist stripping better than a gear that has already suffered worn or chipped teeth from extended use. Replacing a worn differential ring gear restores smooth, quiet power transfer through the differential and helps prevent further damage to the mating pinion gear caused by poor mesh. This is a direct factory replacement for the original equipment ring gear, intended to bring a differential back to proper working order rather than to alter the vehicle's gearing or performance. Keeping the ring gear in good condition is important for reliable traction and drivetrain longevity, since a damaged ring gear can quickly accelerate wear throughout the rest of the differential assembly.
