Description
This is the input pinion gear shaft for the Team Associated CR12 rock crawler, also compatible with the MT12 Monster Truck, Monster Van, and RC10 4X4 Pickup Truck platforms. The shaft supports the input pinion gear inside the gearbox, keeping it properly aligned with the main drive gear so torque transfers smoothly through the internal gear train. Machined and hardened for strength, the shaft is built to resist bending and wear under the repeated torque loads of rock crawling and off-road driving, holding up better than a shaft that has developed play or damage from long-term use. Installing a fresh shaft restores correct gear alignment inside the gearbox, which helps prevent uneven gear wear, noise, and eventual stripping caused by a worn or bent original shaft. This is a direct factory replacement for the original equipment pinion gear shaft, meant for restoring proper gearbox function after wear or damage rather than for changing performance. Because the shaft is a small but essential link in the drivetrain, keeping it straight and properly fitted helps protect the surrounding gears and bearings from premature failure during regular use.
