Description
This is the gearbox housing and motor mount assembly for the Team Associated CR12 rock crawler, also fitting the MT12 Monster Truck, Monster Van, and RC10 4X4 Pickup Truck platforms. The gearbox houses the internal spur and pinion gears that transfer power from the motor to the drivetrain, while the integrated motor mount holds the motor in precise alignment for clean gear mesh. Molded from a rigid composite material, the housing is built to contain gear loads and resist the flex and impact stress of rock crawling and off-road driving better than a cracked or worn housing that has lost its rigidity. Installing a fresh gearbox and motor mount restores correct gear mesh and motor alignment, reducing gear noise, wear, and the risk of stripped teeth caused by a warped or damaged housing. This is a direct replacement for the factory gearbox assembly, intended for repairing a cracked case or upgrading a heavily worn unit rather than altering performance. Properly seated gears and a solid motor mount are essential for reliable power delivery, making this housing a key structural and mechanical component of the drivetrain.
