This Team Associated 72 tooth 48 pitch Kimbrough spur gear mounts to the slipper or top shaft and meshes with the pinion to set your vehicle's final drive ratio. Kimbrough gears are molded from a tough composite that resists chipping and stripping while running quietly against a steel pinion.
Spur gear tooth count is the primary gearing adjustment on an electric touring car. Pairing this 72 tooth gear with different pinions lets you trade top speed for punch out of corners, or gear taller for a long straightaway, and it lets you manage motor temperatures across a run without changing motors.
This gear fits the Team Associated TC3, TC4, TC5, TC6.2, TC7, TC7.1 and TC7.2 touring cars, the RC10F6, and the APEX Touring, APEX Scion Racing FR-S, APEX Lexus RC F, APEX Scion Racing tC and 2015 APEX variants. Install it as a direct replacement for a worn or damaged spur, or add one to your gearing selection so you always have the right ratio at the track.
