Description
This 114-tooth 64-pitch spur gear sets the primary gear ratio on your Team Associated RC10TC8. Paired with your chosen pinion, it determines how the motor's power reaches the drivetrain, so it directly controls acceleration off the corner, top speed down the straight, and how much heat the motor and speed control build over a run.
The fine 64-pitch tooth profile keeps more teeth in mesh at any moment, which runs quieter and transmits power more smoothly than coarser pitches. A high tooth count like 114 gears the car down for tight, technical layouts where punch out of corners matters more than outright top speed.
Spur gears are a consumable item. Teeth chip from debris, a loose motor mount, or an incorrect mesh, and a damaged spur quickly ruins the pinion running against it. Fits the TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec chassis as a direct replacement on the stock spur gear mount, and is worth keeping in the pit box as both a spare and a gearing option.
