Description
The Team Associated ASC32017 RC10TC8 Shock Shafts carry the piston through the shock body and connect the damper to the suspension arm on your RC10TC8 touring car. Shaft surface finish and straightness are what let a shock move freely off a tiny input, and they are also what the shaft seals ride against, so shaft condition drives both damping feel and oil retention.
These shafts are direct replacements for those supplied in the RC10TC8 kit and fit both the TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec chassis. A shaft that has been scratched by debris or slightly bent in a crash will chew through seals and leak repeatedly, and a bent shaft adds stiction that makes one corner of the car behave differently from the rest.
Inspect your shafts at every rebuild and replace any that are marked or no longer roll true on a flat surface. Fit fresh shafts with new seals, rebuild to your normal oil weight, and get four matched, free-moving dampers back under the car.
