Description
The Team Associated ASC32015 RC10TC8 Shock Cap Bottoms thread onto the lower end of the shock bodies on your RC10TC8 touring car and retain the shaft seals and bushing. This is the part of the damper that actually keeps oil in while the shock shaft strokes through it thousands of times per run, so its thread and seal seat condition determine whether a shock stays sealed.
These are direct replacements for the lower shock caps included in the RC10TC8 kit and fit both the TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec chassis. Constant rebuilds put wear on the threads, and grit dragged in by the shaft can damage the seal seating surface, which is why a shock that leaks from the bottom often will not stop no matter how many new O-rings you fit.
Replace them alongside fresh seals during a normal rebuild. Reassemble to the RC10TC8 manual sequence, bleed your shocks as usual, and get four leak-free dampers holding a consistent oil level all weekend.
