Description
The Team Associated ASC32011 RC10TC8 Spur Gear O-Ring is the 7x9x1mm O-ring used in the spur gear and pulley hub assembly of the RC10TC8 touring car. Small as it is, this O-ring does real work: it keeps the spur gear assembly located and lightly preloaded so the gear does not rattle or shift on the hub as torque reverses between throttle and brake.
It is a direct replacement for the O-ring supplied in the RC10TC8 kit and fits both the TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec chassis. Rubber parts in the drivetrain take heat, oil, and constant compression, and once an O-ring takes a set or nicks it stops doing its job, letting the spur gear develop the slop that leads to noisy mesh and chewed teeth.
Fresh O-rings cost almost nothing and belong in every drivetrain rebuild. Swap them whenever you change spur gears or open up the center of the car, and keep the assembly tight, quiet, and predictable.
